Description

The objective of this work is to assess the City of Aspen’s current Community Development department’s development review fees (This includes a range of building permit fees and land use application fees) and rebase the unit price of each fee to obtain full cost recovery; where possible, improve the fee structure for simplification and accuracy (compare current fee structure to other organizations’ locally and to other similar type municipalities), and to create and deliver tools for the City to assess and modify unit rates to reflect the impacts around cost of service over time. The current structure and fee schedule for 2025 are identified in Exhibit C for reference.
