The Boulder County Parks and Open Space Department (BCPOS) is accepting bids from
qualified and experienced construction contractors to provide construction services for Swede
Lake Dam Rehabilitation Project and the 151 acre-feet volume water storage reservoir it holds.
These services are needed to rehabilitate the Swede Lake Dam in compliance with the Drawings
and Specifications provided with this bid request. In addition to the Drawings and
Specifications, the selected contractor will comply with all State of Colorado, Department of
Natural Resources, Division of Water Resources, Dam Safety Branch, State Engineer’s Office
(SEO) – Rules and Regulations for Dam Construction and other relevant rules and regulations
for dam construction and safety. The selected contractor will complete all construction elements
of the reservoir component of the Project (Schedule B) within an initial thirty (30) calendar days,
followed by all construction elements of the dam component of the Project (Schedule A) within a
ninety (90) calendar days period.
This project is supported by a grant from the Colorado Water Conservation Board (CWCB),
CMS# 84433, and is subject to the conditions and/or provisions as set forth in the State of
Colorado, Colorado Water Conservation Board Grant Agreement with Boulder County; NO.
CTGG1 2016-1023.

    A MANDATORY, pre-bid meeting is scheduled for 9:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 2, 2017, at the
    Project site. The Project site is located approximately five miles southwest of the City of
    Longmont. Interested parties are to meet at 7151 Pike Road, which is approximately one mile
    west of the intersection with North 75th Street at the abrupt south bend at North 67th Street at the
    dam toe. Turn north at this address through a gate (the west entrance to Double Dove) and meet
    at the edge of the road just past the gate. Please do not block any road access as this is a full use
    road that should remain accessible at all times. A representative from your company must be in
    attendance at the meeting; Attendance will be taken.
    Bids from firms not represented at the Mandatory Pre-Bid meeting will not be accepted.
