Summary of Specifications:
The Housing Authority of the City of Aurora is soliciting proposals from qualified contractors to perform the replacement of roofs on up to fifteen (15) multiple buildings at a single location.
SCOPE OF WORK Responses to this solicitation must provide for a turn-key job. Any item not specifically indicated but necessary for completion of systems depicted shall be included as part of this contract. C
ontractor shall provide all labor and materials to remove and replace one (1) to fourteen (14) roofs on multifamily residential buildings and one (1) clubhouse located at 112 Kenton Street, Aurora, CO 80010.
1. Contractor has complete responsibility for conforming to all applicable codes and requirements of all governing agencies and third-party inspectors at no extra cost.
2. Contractor has responsibility to perform take-off measurements and to inspect the buildings for all conditions necessary to complete the Scope of Work.
3. Remove and dispose of existing roofing shingles, underlayment, flashing, drip edge and vent jackets.
4. Provide a unit price to remove a single existing 4 x 8 sheet of decking and replace it with a new sheet.
5. Selected contractor shall provide samples of their suggested shingles for the approval of AHA which match the color of the existing shingles at the property. Such shingles shall be Fiberglas Class “A” laminated asphalt shingles as manufactured by GAF, Corning, TAMCO or other equal at the approval of AHA. All suggested shingles shall have at least a 30-year warranty.
6. Supply and install all flashing and ice and water shield in compliance with all regulatory requirements.
7. Provide sufficient roof/attic/gable venting in compliance with all regulatory requirements.
8. Supply and install galvanized drip edge at all eaves, gables, and gutter locations.
9. Supply, install and paint new mechanical vent jackets at all existing locations.
10. Contractor to include in the contract all other materials not specifically described, but required for a complete and proper installation of the work in this contract.
11. Costs shall be provided on a per building basis in the format provided in Section 11 Respondent’s Certification of this Solicitation.
