The Auraria Higher Education Center, on behalf of the Information Technology Services’ Department (ITS) at Metropolitan State University of Denver (MSU Denver) is seeking Requests for Information in order to evaluate and determine the direction of a co-managed Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) solution. The solution will replace an existing Rapid 7 InsightIDR solution to collect and process event information at a rate of between 300 and 500 million events per day, approximately 12 TB per month, from approximately 25 sources.  It is the goal of MSU Denver’s IT Security team to find and implement a solution which will be designed and engineered in collaboration between MSU Denver and the provider, with on-going operations being performed by the service provider on a 7x24 basis, while on-site MSU Denver IT Security staff will co-manage during business hours.   This new solution must maintain 12 months of historical event data and must be able to import 12 months of historical data from our existing InsightIDR solution.
