FAC2025-02 - Town Hall AC Replacement Project

The Project generally consists of providing the necessary materials, equipment, and labor to replace 16 existing York Packaged HVAC units located on the roof of the Apple Valley Town Hall building located at 14955 Dale Evans Pkwy, Apple Valley, CA 92307.  Work shall include:

• Preparation of 16 existing AC units for extraction to include removing all lines (gas, electrical, drain, etc.).
• Removal of 16 existing AC units from their existing rooftop location
• Provide 16 new Carrier Outdoor Packaged HVAC units with equivalent tonnage (no less than like for like) for each and a SEER rating of 15 or higher. 
• Place16 new Carrier Packaged HVAC units onto the rooftop in the identical locations as those removed.
• Modify/reconstruct curbs to ensure compatibility.
• Secure and seal units to curbs.
• Install existing electrical service disconnection boxes.
• Install and connect high and low voltage wiring.
• Install and connect new gas lines with drip legs and local shut off valves.
• Install new copper drain lines to existing drain connections.
• Install and program economizers and power exhaust on units.
• Program existing  zone controller and thermostats.
• Test and check units’ operations.
• Recover refrigerant from and dispose of old units. 

• All recovery of recyclable materials shall be documented in a WMP (waste management plan) as part of the permit.
• All Installation shall be per manufacturers’ specifications which are included herein by reference.
• All work shall be in compliance with the 2022 California Building Code, California Mechanical Code, California Electrical Code, California Plumbing Code, California Energy Code, and any other regulations not listed by required for professional installation and workmanship.
