Industry Day Notice
November 3, 2025
The Georgetown Divide Public Utility District (GDPUD) invites interested contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and construction firms to attend an Industry Day for the upcoming Water Supply Hardening Project.
Project Overview:
GDPUD is planning a major water infrastructure improvement project that will enhance system reliability and harden the water supply from impacts due to fire or storms. The project involves converting the existing open canal water delivery system into a buried pipeline. Work is expected to include excavation, trenching, pipeline installation, surface restoration, and related civil improvements.
Design Status:
The project design is currently at 60% completion, and is available for attendees to view prior to the onsite industry day.
This event is intended to:
Provide an overview of the project scope, anticipated schedule, and procurement process, while offering contractors an opportunity to ask questions and provide feedback on project design, and potential improvements. Ideas and opportunities are encouraged to refine the final design into the most cost effective and constructable product possible given the site constraints.
