2001009 - Whale Rock Reservoir - Stilling Basin Dewatering and Inspection

In general, the project consists of isolating the concrete stilling basin of Whale Rock Dam, located at the south end of the spillway, from the natural creek to perform inspection assessments of the infrastructure. The isolation requires temporary dams and dewatering operations per environmental mitigation requirements such that the City of San Luis Obispo Engineers can inspect the condition of the concrete and ancillary underdrains. The facility is owned by the Whale Rock Commission located just east of Cayucos California. The City of San Luis Obispo is a stakeholder in the Whale Rock Commission and the primary contact for the efforts in these plans and specifications.
