The purpose is to solicit proposals from suitably qualified and experienced contractors to perform weed control along irrigation canals and open surface drains and roads of the on the Colorado River Irrigation Project (CRIP) near Parker, AZ. The Colorado River Indian Tribes (CRIT) are working in coordination with the Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA), Colorado River Agency, to procure services for this work on the CRIP. This Request for Proposal (RFP) document provides a description of the Project, including scope, time limitations, and performance requirements.
Summary of Project Scope: The Project requires the contractor to provide expertise, licensing, experienced manpower and all necessary equipment to competently to spray existing vegetation and deter seed germination on banks and side of canals and drains and along roads of the irrigation system year round. The Bureau of Indian Affairs Irrigation Office will provide Round Up and Diuron 4-L or approved herbicides. The following is a brief description of the contract requirements. More detail is provided in later sections of this RFP.
