In 2019 a Facility Condition Assessment was performed for Cheyenne VA Medical Center. As part of the assessment, it was noted that lightning protection was not in place and a lightning protection risk analysis was recommended. The risk analysis was performed according to the NFPA 780 calculator, resulting from that is the recommendation to install a lightning protection system in the locations identified in this Statement of Work.
The purpose of this Statement of Work (SOW) is to procure services for design, install, system continuity testing, verification and commissioning of a lightning protection system (LPS) for the following buildings as represented on Figure 1 CVAMC Lightning Risk Assessment Drawing dated July 2020; RRTP, 1-CLC, 1-A, 1-B, 1-C, 45, 1-CA, 1-CX, 1-AR, 1-MRI, 11, 12, 13, 31 in addition to the photovoltaic parking canopies at the northeast property location as well as lightning protection for above ground fueling station and oxygen storage tank.
