Specifications include, but are not limited to: Teton County (Owner) is seeking a qualified consultant with expertise and experience in design and engineering of wildlife crossings to develop terrestrial organism passage projects for three locations identified by the Teton County Wildlife Crossings Master Plan , adopted in 2018. To date, wildlife crossings in Teton County have been initiated through opportunities on highway reconstruction projects led by the Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT). The County would like to proceed in addressing wildlife vehicle collisions and safety concerns on state highways within our boundaries by moving forward with the development of engineering design plans for specific locations that fall outside of proposed highway reconstruction. This planning process will incorporate interagency cooperation and involvement of private landowners in the siting and design of crossings at priority locations. The plans developed through this process will allow for the development of an accurate estimate of construction costs that will be necessary for applications for federal funds. The County will work with WYDOT to ensure that crossings are designed to specifications that allow for their development independent of a highway reconstruction project.
