Specifications include, but are not limited to: Maintenance, Service, Inspect, Tag, Recharge, Dry Chemical 6-year tests, CO2 5- year test and/or Hydro-test the fire extinguishers in accordance with National Fire Protection Association, Inc. Vol. NFPA-10, 2018 Edition or current edition. - CCSD will provide data for each extinguisher at each building to be used as reference and record keeping. Data sheets must be used to record inspections and all other required services. Inspector should note any discrepancies found when comparing fire extinguisher to data sheets. Notes on data sheets must be legible. CCSD fire extinguishers will not be replaced or substituted with any other extinguisher without prior approval. Extinguishers are identified with CCSD tags associated to the building in which they belong. - When doing inspections using CCSD data sheets, verification of the serial number of the fire extinguisher being inspected is required. - Only closed recovery systems shall be used when recharging dry chemical units. - All units shall be weighed. - Gauges shall be tested for integrity by using a counter-pressure test. Tapping of the gauge will not be acceptable. - Inspections will be done on site for each CCSD building. Fire extinguishers will be gathered by CCSD personnel to one location at each building, with the exception of multi-floor buildings where they will be gathered to convenient locations on each floor. - All Fire extinguishers which are removed off site for servicing must be returned to the same location/building that they were taken from unless previous arrangements have been approved through the District representative. - All tamper seals shall be replaced. - All external tags for monthly inspections are to be placed with date and signature side facing out. - All internal and external tags and labels shall be signed and dated with the Wyoming State License Number. - When recharging, only dry nitrogen shall be used. - All CO2 hose couplings shall have a conductivity test label attached.
