1. Bear-resistant trash receptacles must be certified by the Interagency Grizzly Bear Committee at the time of bidding. 2. Bear-resistant trash receptacles must fit 40-gallon bins. 3. Bear-resistant trash receptacles must have top loading pull down chutes that can be operated with a closed fist or while wearing mittens or gloves. These chutes must have an angled surface directly below. Top lids shall not have covered latches. 4. The bottom of the trash receptacle service handle shall be no less than 20 inches above the ground. 5. Bear-resistant trash receptacles must have a service doorso that bins do not need to be lifted up and out of the container. Service door latches may be covered. 6. Receptacles must be self-closing and shall not have chains required for operation. 7. Bear-resistant trash receptacles must be ADA compliant. 8. Bear-resistant trash receptacles must include a warranty of 1 year or greater. Bidder shall enclose a letter on company letterhead detailing the manufacturer warranty, name and address or warranty shop, and warranty details. 9. Photos or diagrams of bear-resistant containers must be included. 10. Specifications including height, width, length, and weight must be included in the bid. 11. Bear-resistant trash receptacles shall be new and unused. 12. Delivery bids must be included. Delivery bids may be included in the price of bins or included separately. 13. A list of accessories the company offers, with pricing, must be included.
