Specifications include, but are not limited to: Task 1 – Preliminary Crosswalk Location Consultant shall analyze and make a recommendation for locating the proposed crosswalk. Location of crosswalk shall take the following into consideration: Sight distance in both directions on 2nd Street. Continued efficient left‐turn use of the approaches into and out of the Rockpile Museum, Hospital property, Thunder Basin Homes and the Crazy Woman Campground. Access to power (if possible) or full sunlight for solar power. Must have accessible sidewalks on both sides of the street for pedestrian access to crosswalk location. Access from parking lots on the south side of 2nd Street. Feedback from WYDOT District Traffic Engineer. Task 2 – Preliminary Design Services Consultant shall provide a preliminary design for the crosswalk system. Note that the final plans and specifications must adhere to the WYDOT Standard Specifications. Preliminary design shall include the following as a minimum: Crosswalk location. Crosswalk striping and signage. Location of pedestrian activation structures and flashing signs. Island size and geometry, including any pedestrian safety options recommended. Underground utilities (existing and proposed, if any). 2nd Street striping modification (If required). 2nd Street curb modifications for ADA. Task 3 – Budgetary Cost Estimate The Consultant shall provide a budgetary cost estimate for the Project to capture all remaining costs. Cost estimate shall include the following: Detailed project construction cost estimate. Final Design Phase cost estimate. o Final plans and specs o WYDOT encroachment permit application Bidding Phase Services cost estimate. o Assembling, advertising and distributing the final plan and specification set o Participating in the pre‐bid conference o Preparing responses to questions from prospective bidders and providing clarifications and interpretations of the bidding documents in the form of addenda o Participating in the opening of bids o Prepare a bid analysis and recommendation to County for award of the bid Construction Phase Services cost estimate. o Construction administration o Testing and inspection (if required by WYDOT) Contingency.
