The primary purpose of the Laramie County School District #2 (LCSD#2) Recreation District is to maintain present facilities, develop future facilities, and to support programs that provide recreational value for students and the community. The recreation district is funded primarily by the 1 mill on the assessed valuation of the school district levied by the LCSD#2 Board of Trustees pursuant to W.S. 18-9-201. The LCSD#2 Board of Trustees has the discretion to levy the recreation 1 mill each year. At the July 8, 2024 Budget Hearing, the LCSD#2 Board of Trustees approved a 1 mill on the assessed valuation of the school district to be used for Recreation within the boundaries of Laramie County School District #2. In an effort to improve the quality of life and provide for indoor and outdoor recreation opportunities throughout the district, the LCSD#2 Recreation Board of Directors is soliciting applications for the 2025 recreation grant funding
