Specifications include, but are not limited to: The garbage truck with installed packer body furnished under this proposal shall be the manufacturer’s latest model and design. The garbage truck with installed packer body must carry a full manufacturer’s warranty. The manufacturer’s warranty shall cover the truck, including but not limited to the chassis and the packer body and be for not less than one year or 1000 hours of operation. The warrantee shall not begin to run until delivery is accepted by the city. Units offered under this bid shall be new standard production models of the latest design and current production. Materials shall be of good commercial quality of the intended service and shall be produced by use of current manufacturing processes any additions, deletions or variations from the following specifications must be noted. It is not the intent of the city of Kemmerer to limit vendors representing manufacturers of similar or equal equipment of the type specified. It should be noted that the specifications are written around specific needs of the city of Kemmerer. In numerous places we may have named specific brands of components and garbage trucks with installed packer bodies this has been done to establish a certain standard of equipment and function. Other brands will be accepted providing the vendor provides documentation in the bid that the particular brand of garbage truck with installed packer body meets or exceeds the quality or function of the actual make and model called for in the specifications. It is required that the bidder will furnish descriptive literature with specifications and options highlighted pertaining to the model being bid.
