Specifications include, but are not limited to: The County met final completion of a Compost Facility on site at the Teton County Trash Transfer Station in 2020 and began accepting food waste on February 1 st , 2021. The service is currently open to residents and businesses who are able to self-haul food waste to the Food Waste Composting Facility located on the same property as the Trash Transfer Station. The County is seeking to initiate a commercial food waste collection program in 2021. Food waste conditions will be pre- and post-consumer from local restaurants, schools and other commercial food waste generators. Teton County ISWR is seeking a Contractor to pick up food waste from commercial locations in and around Teton County including, Grand Teton National Park, Moose, Wilson, Kelly, and Teton Village (excluding Alta, Wyoming) and deliver it to the Teton County Compost Facility at the Teton County Transfer Station. Teton County will consider one, or more, contracts under this RFP and encourages collaboration and/or subcontracts, to meet the needs of the Food Waste hauling program.
