This project consists of re-roofing the Brush Creek/Hayden Office located at the Saratoga District Office Administrative Site on the Brush Creek/Hayden Ranger District in Saratoga, WY. This work includes the complete demolition of existing roof coverings, gutters, downspouts, and underlayment and full replacement with new underlayment, a new 24-gauge (minimum) Structural Standing Seam Roof System (SSSRS), gutters, and downspouts for the entire roof, and a snow guard system to protect the HVAC units on the northeast end of the building. All exposed cut metal shall be finished to match the integrity and aesthetic of the panel finish. The gutters and downspouts removed during demolition are to be kept in working order and returned to the Brush Creek/Hayden Ranger District. The area of the roof that will be replaced is estimated at 9600 SF and consists of cedar wood shake shingles and underlayment which shall be removed down to the existing sheathing prior to installing new metal roof panels. These panels shall have a color approved by Forest Service leadership (see 6.1.1). Color swatches from the manufacturer shall be delivered to the Brush Creek/Hayden Ranger District Office by the contractor.
This work shall also include removing and disposing of all waste materials associated with this work, and cleanup of the site throughout each workday. The building shall remain safe and accessible to employees and the public over the course of the contract. Any damage to the building or site because of this work shall be the Contractor’s responsibility. All work shall adhere to industry standards, local building code requirements, and manufacturer installation recommendations. Specifications and requirements are summarized in the body of the Statement of Work. However, a more comprehensive list of specifications can be found in Appendix V. Where conflicting information occurs, the correct specification or requirement will be determined by the CO.
