Amendment 0001 issued to 140P1421Q0082 for the following:
A) Response to Questions:
1. Do you have a preference for a single or dual axle trailer? All of the commercially available single axle trailer setups max out at a 200 gallon capacity (including the Hotsy) whereas a dual axle trailer could be outfitted with two tanks for a total capacity of 400 gallons.
2. Is the Antifreeze kit for the water tank or the pressure washer? Could you elaborate more on what you mean by this?
3. What kind of brakes do you need on the trailer (if any). Single-axle trailer is available with electric brakes, surge brakes, or no brakes. The dual-axle trailer is available with electric brakes or surge brakes.
Answers:
1. Single axle with 200- or 225-gallon tank is sufficient. We have a 225 on a single axle trailer that's offers more maneuverability and to date hasn't run out of water in a day.
2. An antifreeze kit allows us to turn off the water valve on the water tank, open the antifreeze valve on the antifreeze reservoir and run antifreeze through the system (water pump, heater, hose) to protect the components when temperatures drop below freezing. We deal with subfreezing temperatures regularly on the shoulder seasons of our watercraft inspection seasons and we typically don't have a heated garage to put our units in overnight and cannot protect it properly when its below freezing during our hours of operation.
3. No brakes are necessary for a trailer less than 4000 lbs. The 1/2-ton pickup GSA vehicles we usually end up with are not set up for electric brakes.
B) Quantity of one (1) trailer mounted pressure washer with all components.
C) Extend response date to Monday July 26, 2021 at 9am MST.
