Specifications include, but are not limited to: 6.2.1 The contractor shall furnish all buses, drivers, fuel and materials necessary to provide bus service as required by the University for the term of this contract. 6.2.2 All hourly rate and trip mileage charges shall begin and end on campus unless otherwise mutually agreed by contractor and University. “Deadhead” mileage charges to and from campus shall not be allowed. 6.2.3 All buses used shall be seasonally equipped for passenger's comfort, i.e., adequate air conditioning and/or heating. 6.2.4 Contractor will maintain the vehicles in good working order. The University reserves the right to inspect all vehicles used in executing this contract. Such inspection would include review of state required maintenance records, tires, glass, general appearance and any other component or area that could affect the safety and comfort of the passengers or required by Law. 6.2.5 Contractor will provide storage and maintenance space for the vehicles used in providing contracted service. 6.2.6 Vehicles will be kept clean through a program of regular washing of the exterior and interior and thorough periodic major cleaning. 6.2.7 Contractor must have the capability to communicate between buses in the event of several buses traveling together.
