In general the work consists of replacing two segments of storm sewer piping, and replacing the backup water main for the State Capitol. The first new storm sewer segment is located in the parking lane on the east side of West Mifflin Street from State Street to Wisconsin Avenue. The second new storm sewer segment is located in the parking lane on the north side of North Carroll Street from State Street to West Washington Avenue. The new backup water main will extend from South Carroll Street northeast through the lawn to the State Capitol roughly parallel and south of West Washington Avenue. The project will also include removal and replacement of concrete pavement, concrete curb and gutter, concrete sidewalk, brick terrace pavers, sod restoration, landscaping sprinkler system repairs, and a drinking fountain.
