Specifications include, but are not limited to: Contractor shall adequately furnish all labor, material, tools, equipment, supplies, and services for transporting solid waste from the Solid Waste Transfer Facility to the primary designated landfill, and the alternative landfill. Contractor must be able to consistently move 80 tons per day with peak tonnage up to 150 tons per day and ensure waste is not stored for more than 24 hours from the time it is received, with the exception of Saturday to Monday and major holidays. 11.1.2. The primary designated landfill is located at 2510 Engel Road, Wisconsin Rapids, WI 54495 11.1.3. The alternative landfill is located at 172900 State Highway 29, Ringle, WI 54471 Portage County is required to deliver 25,200 tons per year of solid waste to the Marathon County Landfill. The primary landfill in Wisconsin Rapids is used due to that landfill owner’s ability to deliver alternative waste to the Marathon County Landfill to meet our tonnage delivery requirements there. Any proposal to deliver to an alternative landfill would require a proposal to find and deliver waste from alternative sources to Marathon County that is sufficient to meet our tonnage requirements there. Marathon County approval would be required for any such arrangement. All inbound waste must be confined within the building.
