Specifications include, but are not limited to: UW-Stout request Bids for the removal and disposal of the existing Apline Gas Kiln HF 40 (works) as well
as the design, construction, and installation of a 40cu. Ft. down draft reduction kiln. UW-Stout intends to
use the results of this process to award a Contract.
UW Stout will be responsible for disconnecting the electric and gas service to existing kiln prior to
disassembly. UW Stout will provide electrical and gas service connections to new kiln. Contractor must
comply with all OSHA, EPA and WI Department of Health Services regulations to disassemble, remove and
dispose of kiln off site. See photos in Attachment D* Site visit is strongly encouraged, but not required.
Contractor must coordinate work, schedule, access and parking with Facilities Management. Contractor
must supply shop drawings to UW Stout, following contract award, indicating electrical, gas, and HVAC
