Specifications include, but are not limited to: Perform the basic business function of recognizing revenue, tracking it by service, and managing accounts receivable to ensure cash collection is maximized. The HIS should allow for the capturing of data in a manner so that management reports can be designed to allow for the day-to-day management of the Hospital.
Provide for patient scheduling, patient census, and patient registration functionality.
Provide for an inventory management component that supports the Central Supply Department insuring that medical supplies are available to meet the Hospital’s patient care needs.
Provide a user-friendly electronic medical record (EMR), improving efficiency and teaching efforts in the Hospital.
