Specifications include, but are not limited to: Requesting bidsfor a qualified contractorto provide all materials and laborto fabricate and remove hooks from the 3rd and 4th floor floor inmate cellblocks at the Outagamie County Jail (320 S Walnut St in Appleton, WI). The 3rd floor has 28 shelves each with 4 hooks on it (112 hooks total) and the 4th floor has 186 shelves each with 4 hooks on it (744 hooks total) that will need to be completely removed, the mounting surface sanded down so flush and repainted. When we state the hooks need to be completely removed it is not only the hook but the āIā shaped bracket that the hook is attached to. As stated everything related to the hook will be removed in orderto create a flush surface. The use of cutting torches will not be allowed within the jail cell spaces. The contractor will be responsible for taping off the exhaust vents within the jail cells during cutting and grinding procedures in order to keep the in duct smoke detectors clean and to prevent the smoke detectors from alarming due to any grinding dust or smoke. Contractors shall take care not to cause damage to the painted walls. Any damaged wall areas must be repaired and repainted by the Contractor.
