Specifications include, but are not limited to: Purchase of an integrated forensic point cloud and Computer Aided Drawing (CAD) software package with tools to recreate, analyze, reconstruct, animate, and visualize crime and crash scene data. The TRU is expected to provide computer-generated diagrams in most cases. Diagramming has always been a basic investigative function at crash and crime scenes. It is essential when preparing a diagram that the information be properly collected and accurately represented. Specific benefits of diagrams include; better overall depiction of the scene, permanent record of spatial relationships, simplification of the complex environments, combines benefits of field notes and photography, can record some scene conditions better than any other means, and compels the investigator to look closely at the scene. Point cloud software: • The ability to import Trimble Access®, Trimble Capture®, and Faro Focus® scanner files. • Automatic registration and align point cloud date with or without targets. • Automatic registration of field geo-referenced point cloud data from single total station and scanning hardware. • Geo-reference point cloud data to control point coordinates. • Automated filtering tools to reduce the data and eliminate noise. • Ability to measure distances and angles between two or more data points. • Create and display bullet/blood trajectories in scan projects. • Manually select and delete one or more points. • Ability to easily export data into an integrated forensic CAD software. • Ability to share and view scan projects with project stakeholders. • Ability to attach and view digital photographs to points. • Ability to integrate scanner photographs with point cloud data. • Ability to pan, zoom, and view 360 degrees (both horizontally and vertically) from any user-selected location within the rendered point cloud project.
