Specifications include, but are not limited to: Dane County is requesting bids to provide event parking and traffic assistance to the Alliant Energy Center. Located at the intersection of Rimrock Rd. and John Nolen Dr. The provider will be responsible for assisting Alliant Energy Center staff direct incoming and outgoing traffic flow to minimize backups onto the roadways surrounding the campus. The Provider will also be responsible for assisting Alliant Energy Center staff with directing event attendees to available parking stalls. The Provider will not be responsible for collecting any parking fees. The Alliant Energy Center is a multipurpose entertainment facility. It encompasses over 160 acres of land, a variety of buildings including the Exhibition Hall and the Veteran’s Memorial Coliseum and a paved parking capacity of 5,800 cars. The Center provides a variety of activities for the citizens of Dane County including conventions, consumer shows, amateur sports, concerts, family shows, trade shows, agricultural events, youth hockey events, outdoor festivals, banquets, retail sales and other activities such as the World Dairy Expo and the Dane County Fair. Annual attendance at Center activities is approximately 1 million people. The operations of the Center have been self-supporting since 1990. At certain times throughout the year the Center has labor needs, related to events or the facility, that exceed its available full-time and part-time help. The number of additional workers needed may vary from 10 to as many as 50 depending upon the needs of the event.
