Specifications include, but are not limited to: This segment of CTH O is a vital commuter link to the I-94 corridor as well as the local businesses and municipalities. The existing concrete pavement within this section of roadway has deteriorated to a point that now requires pavement replacement. The area is continuously being developed and redeveloped to the point that the pavement replacement as well as lane geometrics need to be evaluated to accommodate current and future traffic requirements. This project requires the development of preliminary and final plans, documents and reports for the pavement replacement for CTH O from I-94 to Bluemound Road, including all reports and work necessary to complete the P.S.& E. documents for the construction of CTH O. The 0.8-mile long project involves the rehabilitation and pavement replacement of CTH O to bring it up to current standards. Improvements may include: replacing the existing concrete pavement, reconfiguring intersections and lane geometrics to improve safety, replacing traffic signals, minor grading, adding sidewalks and storm water improvements. Access to Brookfield Square and other businesses adjacent to the project will need to be maintained during construction. Traffic control will be a major challenge for the project. The work under this Contract shall consist of those engineering and related services in accordance with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation Facilities Development Manual (“the Manual”).
