Specifications include, but are not limited to: The goals of the Domestic Abuse Services to Traditionally Underrepresented Populations grants are: to provide accessible, trauma-sensitive, and culturally- and linguistically appropriate services to traditionally underrepresented victims/survivors of domestic abuse; to identify and eliminate barriers to safety and enhance services for traditionally underrepresented victims/survivors of domestic abuse; to promote the leadership of individuals and communities from traditionally underrepresented populations in the planning, delivery, and evaluation of domestic abuse services and in formulating community responses to domestic abuse. Responses will be accepted for services to any of the underrepresented populations described above. However, in an effort to address the needs of diverse populations in the State, it is the intent of DCF to fund at least one grant to each of the following priority target populations: Deaf and Hard-of Hearing communities; African-American communities in Milwaukee; African-American communities outside of Milwaukee; Latinx communities in Milwaukee; Latinx communities outside of Milwaukee; Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) communities in Milwaukee Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) communities outside of Milwaukee; Native American communities.
