It is understood the type of services provided and how they are provided may need to be temporarily adapted for the duration of the COVID-19 pandemic for the safety of families, children/youth, staff, and community. Proposer may provide any (or any combination of) of the services listed below; please note not all services are required. Proposers should design their project consistent with the amount of funding provided through this RFP. A continuum of developmentally appropriate services for children/youth and their protective parent in shelter-based or nonresidential domestic abuse programs or in community settings. Services may include but are not limited to: procedures to understand the individual strengths and needs of each child and family; advocacy; counseling; safety planning; referrals to needed community services; and support/skill-building groups. Family-centered programming focusing on strengthening the bond between the protective parent and the child/youth. Programming for youth at risk of (or survivors of) teen dating violence, or support for on-going engagement and leadership development with youth to promote healthy relationships and healing. Proposers who offer prevention education sessions for children/youth must also offer direct intervention services and/or referrals for children and youth exposed to domestic abuse or teen dating violence. Culturally- and/or linguistically appropriate services to children/youth who have been exposed to domestic abuse and/or teen dating violence. Services may include, but are not limited to: outreach, community education, community organizing, leadership development, peer support, advocacy, counseling, or other supportive services. Proposers who will provide services in more than one county must have specific strategies to provide services in each county. Proposers who will provide services to culturally specific populations must have specific strategies to meet the needs of the identified population.
