Specifications include, but are not limited to: Typically, lodging is provided four (4) nights per week (Monday through Thursday) with several individuals who will require lodging on Sunday evenings as well; which may include some State Holidays. Training classes of various sizes and duration are held throughout the year at the CTC. The sessions vary in size from 18 to 78 trainees per class, with typically 3-5 different classes in session per week. Several academy training classes are scheduled on a regular basis through the year: Agent Basic Training (ABT) – 7 week in-residence academy over 9 week period for new Probation and Parole Agents Specialized Supervision Training (SST) – 2 week continuous academy for new Agents Correctional Officer Pre-Service (COPS) – 7 week continuous academy for new Correctional Officers Double occupancy rooms will be used for these academy classes. 2.7 Property must have a minimum of one parking spot per occupant or provide alternate parking or shuttle options for trainees. 2.8 Parking lots must be well equipped with working lighting to insure the safety of guests entering and leaving the property. 2.9 Working security video cameras must be in parking lots and at each hotel entrance and exit. Footage from security cameras must be retained for two weeks and made available to DOC upon request, for any incident involving DOC employees or trainees. 2.10 Each exit/entry door, except the main lobby, must be locked and accessible only with an access card. 2.11 Property must have 24 hour on-site front desk staffing. 2.12 All property staff must have individually assigned access cards. 2.13 Security technology must be in place that allows hotel management to get a report on who has accessed a guest’s room. 2.14 All guest room doors must contain peep holes. 2.15 All rooms must be clean and free of mold, rodents, pests, and insects. 2.16 All guest rooms must have individual heating and air conditioning controls to allow guests to adjust room temperatures to their individual preference. Heating and air conditioning units must be operational.
