Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Wisconsin Department of Transportation is currently accepting bids for new concrete compressive and flexural strength testing machines. The testing machines we purchase will be installed in our regional labs throughout Wisconsin. The machines will get extensive use since they will be used for both training students enrolled in courses for our Highway Technician Certification Program as well as by departmental staff for routine quality verification testing. Due to the large number of operators (Department, Consultant and student staff) that will be using these machines, we are looking for a user friendly and fully automatic operating system. We are seeking bids for 5 different regional offices throughout Wisconsin. Machine shall be setup and include all required equipment for testing of the following AASHTO standard: • AASHTO T 97 Flexural Strength of Concrete Using Simple Beam with Third-Point Loading (6”x6”x21” beam specimens) Machine shall be capable of being expanded in the future to allow for testing of the following AASHTO standard without modifying the above machine frame/stand, flexural attachment or load cell: • AASHTO T 22 Compressive Strength of Cylindrical Concrete Specimens (6”x12”, 4”x8”, 3”x6” cylindrical specimens) Machine shall include: • Minimum 30,000 lbs capacity. • Fully automatic one touch operation (machine automatically regulates rate of loading throughout test). • Integral touchscreen operator control interface. • Control panel must have the ability to be password protected. • Capable of troubleshooting remotely by the manufacture through the interface. • Compatible with Microsoft Office products. • Ability to store data: Minimum 32 GB Hard Drive • Minimum 4GB RAM • USB, Ethernet port and Wi-Fi compatible for data transfer. • Directly produce a professional report that includes all required test data, load vs. time graph, DOT logo and laboratory address. • 110 V 15 amp electrical requirements.
