Specifications include, but are not limited to: The two heating and cooling plants on the UW-Madison campus require extensive maintenance services if they are to maintain reliability and stay within their permit requirements. This is a core service of state government in that the availability of the equipment in the plants must be able to perform in the manner intended to heat and cool the campus buildings, which include hospitals, dorms, research animals and research projects. The services needed include boiler and pressure vessel repair, steam system repair, chiller repair, air compressor repair, boiler service, industrial control maintenance and repair. Contractors performing these services must be highly skilled in their area of expertise, and will be monitored by the Facilities Planning and Management Power Plant Superintendents
