Specifications include, but are not limited to: The digital role-modeling site will be linked to but separate from the main UW-NACHP website. The main objective of the site is to inspire Native Americans to enter the health professional student pipeline and increase the number of Native Americans graduating from health professional schools. UW-NACHP is seeking website design, website development, and development of an informational animation. Website design and development must be appealing and appropriate for Native Americans of diverse tribal affiliations interested in the health professions. The website will eventually be home to 10 digital role-modeling video vignettes highlighting our UW-NACHP faculty. We are seeking a site which focuses more on media and images than on written content. Necessary elements of contact and project information will be included on the site, with the main focus being the vignettes. The seeds of a health professional career are often planted early, yet many students come to health professional school later in life. Therefore, the project will need to be broad and have multi-generational appeal. Our ideal website would be a beautiful, intuitive, and inspirational site with a target audience of age 10 to 45. It is imperative the design be culturally appropriate, sensitive, and appealing. The website design would accomplish this by inspiring Natives through the design and video content with an obvious mechanism for capturing students for further student development opportunities.
