THE U.S. ARMY CORPS OF ENGINEERS (USACE) IS CONDUCTING MARKET RESEARCH AND DESIRES INPUT FROM THE INDUSTRY TO ASSIST IN REQUIREMENTS PLANNING. THE INFORMATION REQUESTED BY THIS SYNOPSIS WILL BE USED WITHIN USACE TO FACILITATE THE DECISION-MAKING PROCESS AND WILL NOT BE DISCLOSED OUTSIDE THE AGENCY. THE PURPOSE OF THIS SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS IS TO GAIN KNOWLEDGE OF POTENTIAL QUALIFIED SOURCES WHO MANUFACTURER/DISTRIBUTE M/D TOTCO 11033725-001 LOAD CELLS FOR BULKHEAD HOISTS, THEIR SIZE CLASSIFICATIONS AND CAPIBILITIES RELATIVE TO NAICS 334519 OTHER MEASURING AND CONTROLLING DEVICE MANUFACTURING. THE ASSOCIATED SMALL BUSINESS SIZE STANDARD IS 500 EMPLOYEES.
DESCRIPTION OF REQUIREMENT: The Army Corps of Engineers, MVP St. Paul, MN is currently conducting market research seeking potential sources, including small businesses (SB), 8(a), HUBZone, Economically Disadvantaged Woman-Owned (EDWOSB), Woman- Owned (WOSB), Service-Disabled Veteran Owned (SDVOSB) Small Business that can provide TOTCO Part #11033725-001 Tension Load Cell Assembly. The use of such brand name descriptions in the acquisition or portion of an acquisition is essential to the Government’s requirements, thereby precluding consideration of a product manufactured by another company. Specifications are brand name or equal, equal descriptions must be compatible and include as a minimum the following:

The NAICS code for this acquisition is 334519 Other Measuring and Controlling Device Manufacturing, and the size standard is 500 employees.
We request interested contractors submit their interest to the individuals identified in this notice along with their capability statement/information to include commercial standards, practices, and quality control/assurance.
Responses will assist the government in determining whether to set-aside/restrict competition in some way or solicit offer from all responsible sources. All firms responding to this source’s sought notice are advised that their response to this notice is not a request to be considered for a contract award. If a solicitation is issued, it will be posted later at https://www.SAM.gov and all interested parties must respond to that solicitation announcement separately from the responses to this announcement. A response to this source sought synopsis is NOT a request to be added to a prospective bidders list or to receive a copy of the solicitation.
CAPABILITIES STATEMENT: All interested vendors shall submit a response demonstrating their capability statement that explicitly demonstrates their capability to provide/produce the requirement stated in this notice. The capabilities statement should be brief and concise yet clearly demonstrate an ability to meet the stated requirement by providing past performance documentation specifically related providing TOTCO 11033725-001 Tension Load Cell Assembly and that the 334519 NAICS code is the code in which your firm can support.
Any information submitted by respondents to this Sources Sought is voluntary. This Sources Sought notice is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, nor will the Government reimburse any costs associated with the submission of information in response to this notice. Respondents will not be individually notified of the results of any government assessments. The Government’s assessment of the capability statements received will factor into whether any forthcoming solicitation will be conducted as a full and open competition or as a set-aside for small business, or any small business program.
