Specifications include, but are not limited to: MPS is inviting qualified vendors to submit proposals to provide professional services for Milwaukee Public School students attending MPS. Services may include but are not limited to: 1. Extended-day Services (before or after-school, summer or weekend programs). 2. One-to-One Online Tutoring with U.S. Based Tutors, particular English Language Learners and Students with Special Learning Needs that are aligned to state and national standards. 3. School Day Services designed to address individual learning needs. 4. Combinations of the above. The objective of T4U services is to assist eligible school children in acquiring the knowledge and skills necessary to need the challenging academic content and student academic achievement standards. This shall be accomplished by: - Supporting the educational program in the classroom - Providing eligible students enrolled with supplemental educational services such as reading, math, language arts - Using program resources to help participating children meet challenging student academic standards expected for all children - Using effective methods and instructional strategies that are based on scientifically based research, that provide and accelerated, high quality curriculum and that give consideration to extended learning time - Providing instruction by highly qualified professionals - Providing strategies to increase parental, family involvement affording parents meaningful opportunities to participate in the education of their children at home and at school engaging family and community resources to provide the support needed to foster school success and - Reviewing, on an ongoing basis, the progress of participating children and revising the program and services, if necessary, to provide more effective services.
