Specifications include, but are not limited to: Must perform on campus site visits. If a site visit is required to provide a quote, the quote and site visit must be provided at no cost to UWM. Must become familiar with UWM’s current existing signs and messaging to prepare sign plans, specifications, detailed production and installation drawings, and artwork suitable for sign fabrication that includes material, colors, font, size, etc. that adhere to UWM Branded Guidelines found here: https://uwm.edu/brand/ for conformity. Our two primary school colors are black and gold (PMS 1235). Must make reasonable efforts to ensure that personnel work in harmony with the contract administrator or requesting department. Services must be coordinated, scheduled, and approved by the UWM Project Coordinator Must provide a written timeline detailing sequence/schedule of work, with starting and ending dates for each activity. Recommend, develop, and assist with placement of signage, signage and material types, fabrications, artwork, finishing, hardware, and installation. Must ensure that all work provided to UWM meets city code and is consistent with or exceeding existing conditions as applicable. Create, revise as needed, and obtain written approval for conceptual drawings prior to written specifications being developed Create written specifications for the purpose of a bid package; to utilize materials and fabrication methods assumed available to most sign companies Provide artwork and graphic design services in the form of Photoshop, Indesign and/or high-res PDF Provide proofs, artwork, detailed production and installation drawings and specifications to UWM for final review and approval within the established deadlines Revise proofs, artwork, drawings, and written specifications to UWM at the as the project progresses until approved by UWM in writing. UWM will not be liable for any work that is unapproved or for any progressive work that has been started without prior approval of previous work. For example, technical specifications that have been started when detailed production and installation drawings have not been approved. Submit final conceptual drawings and written specifications to UWM. UWM will retain ownership of all work produced including graphic design output.
