Specifications include, but are not limited to:Milwaukee Transport Services (MTS) has a need for safe transport and secure storage of data processing magnetic tape media to and from an offsite storage facility. All items or features not specifically mentioned which are necessary or normally provided, shall be furnished by the respondent and shall conform in quality of materials and workmanship that is considered standard practice in this industry. 1.Scope and Classification Transport (Monday through Friday between the hours of 12:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m.), and store magnetic tape media to a secure offsite storage facility on a scheduled basis, excluding holidays. 1.1 For the purposes of this specification, major holidays are: NewYear’sDayMemorial Day Independence Day Labor Day Thanksgiving Day Friday after Thanksgiving Christmas Eve Christmas Day A f t e r n o o n o f N e w Y e a r ’ s E v e A. MTS will designate staff to inspect the storage facility for compliance with the specifications. The inspection will be conducted prior to award of the contract. In addition, MTS reserves the right to conduct unannounced inspections at any time during the term of the contract period. B. The contract period is for one (1) year, and may be renewed, under the same terms and conditions, and upon the mutual consent of MTS and the successful bidder, for a maximum of four (4) periods. Any extension(s) beyond the combined initial year and four renewal periods shall be made in the best interest of MTS. C. Price increases shall be allowed at the renewal period of the contract. Notification of a price increase and supporting documentation must be received by MTS sixty (60) days prior to expiration of the contract period. The notification of price increase must appear on company letterhead and be signed by a principal of the company. Price increases shall not be higher than those listed on the Consumer Price Index, Chicago-Gary-Kenosha All Items Index, not seasonally adjusted, and shall be measured on an annual average basis. D. Contractor is responsible for procuring, maintaining and paying for all necessary federal, state, and local permits, licenses, fees and taxes required to carry out the provisions of this Contract.
