Specifications include, but are not limited to: expand the current pasture operation at the Sauk County Farm located at the intersection of Highway 154 and Highway 23, Town of Reedsburg. The Sauk County Farm is a roughly 566-acre property located within the unincorporated Town of Reedsburg, approximately three miles south of the City of Reedsburg, in Sauk County, Wisconsin. A property master plan for the County Farm was approved in March 2022 to ensure the continued management of the site’s agricultural and natural resources, the preservation of its historic features, and the transformation of the space into an educational amenity for the Sauk County community. Expansion of the existing pasture is identified in phase one of the master plan. Approximately 20 acres of existing cropland are planned to be converted to a rotational grazing pasture system. Perimeter fence is planned to be installed on an additional 17 acres of existing cropland. The pasture expansion project will consist of installing fence, livestock pipelines, and establishing permanent pasture vegetation.
