Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City of Milwaukee Police Department (MPD) is soliciting proposals to lease a large facility to serve as an operations center for the 2024 Republican National Convention (RNC). MPD will require the use of the facility from approximately February 1, 2024 through August 31, 2024 on a monthly lease which will include the cost of utilities. In order to meet operational and logistical needs, the facility should be at least 100,000 square feet with a variety of space usage. Different types of rooms are necessary, including office space, conference rooms, restrooms and showers. Large rooms are needed to facilitate the check-in process for outside-agency personnel. Existing Information Technology (IT) infrastructure should be able to support network fiber optics, digital operations, cybersecurity, and communications systems. The facility must be secure to safely store equipment, supplies, and resources in both the interior and exterior of the building. A loading dock is a necessity to allow for trucks to offload equipment.
