Portable echocardiography machine for use in veterinary medicine The machine must be compact and designed for portability. It must perform 2D, M-mode, spectral Doppler, and color Doppler echocardiographic imaging with excellent spatial and temporal resolution in patients of varying size (500 grams to 1,000 kg). A variety of phased-array ultrasound probes (2-4 transducers) ranging from 3-5 MHz to 9-12 MHz must be provided with the machine. The system must provide maximum scan depths of at least 30 cm. The unit must allow study files to be exported in a format that is compatible with Syngo Dynamics software for off-cart study interpretation. Ideally, packages for strain (left ventricular, right ventricular, atrial) should be available. Ideally, a portable cart and carry bag should be available to ensure that the unit can be safely transported and used in the field.
