Base Bid: The contractor will complete the following as a part of the Base Bid: The contractor shall procure, store, and deliver materials free of defect at the time of the renovation. All materials are to be protected from freezing or overheating in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions Provide barricades to identify the work area, signage to reroute the public and employees, and where applicable, plastic sheeting to prevent dust and debris from permeating the surrounding area Remove, dispose of, and existing wallpaper in the areas outlined in orange on the plan Patch, prep, and paint areas outlined in orange on the plan with Sherwin Williams SW9166 Drift of Mist Patch, prep, and paint meeting room area outlined in green on the plan with Sherwin Williams Color: Neville Special Off White Prep and paint one divider wall with Sherwin Williams Color: Neville Special Off White Alternate Bid Items: 1) Repair, prep, and paint reception area stairwell 2) Prep and paint the interior and exterior of all hallway doors excluding the front entrance doors, color to match existing Included: • The contractor must be an insured contractor • The contractor must be in good standing with the Federal, State, and Local municipalities • All work shall conform with all federal, state, and local codes and regulations. If codes or regulations conflict, the most stringent shall apply. • The contractor is to procure, receive, inspect materials for completeness and damage, store until installation and deliver materials at the time of installation to the Museum • The contractor is responsible for the removal and disposal of packaging materials, construction debris, and/or other related refuse. • The contractor is to supply all necessary installation materials and equipment • The contractor is responsible for using appropriate installation materials per manufacturer and ANSI guidelines. • Contractor must provide a one-year workman like warranty free from all defects on materials and labor Clarifications • All work times to be coordinated with Facilities and Museum administration. Hallways are to always be kept accessible. • All unused paint is to be provided to the Museum for future touch ups • Any service or detail not specifically listed will be included for proper completion of work. • Work will be performed during normal business hours except for any work that would disturb operations. This will need to be performed during non-operation hours. The Museum is closed to the public on Mondays. • Any safety training needed to be performed is not included.
