Specifications include, but are not limited to: Project purpose and need The purpose of the project is to provide assistance in the communications area for WisDOT, focusing on outreach efforts, project communications and various other tasks related to communications including public information meeting preparation, providing written and graphic design materials, serving as backups to the regional communications manager, and providing program support to the regional directors office. Project description This project will provide one on-site consultant person (with a minimum of a Bachelors degree in Communications, Public Relations, or Journalism) to support the WisDOT North Central Region communications manager. This will be a period contract. The Department will negotiate a one-year contract with an option for another one (1) year renewal. The dedicated staff will be primarily located at the North Central Regions office in Wisconsin Rapids for 40 hours per week (we prefer that the staff be on site because of the necessary staff interaction required but some remote work may be negotiable). Occasional travel to the Rhinelander office will be required. There likely will be other business travel. The agreement will be a Journal Voucher contract with a monthly invoice allocating actual costs to individual WisDOT Project IDs.
