The University of Wisconsin-Madison is the owner of several assets located throughout the United States that may contain minerals, and is seeking an agent or broker to provide supporting services to achieve revenue generation from theses mineral rights assets. The resulting contract will be used by the UW-Madison Facilities Planning & Management Real Estate department to obtain mineral rights brokerage services to lease and/or sell mineral rights owned by the University. The University seeks to identify, select, and partner with a qualified Mineral Rights brokerage firm to act as the agent of the University Mineral Rights portfolio. Supporting services would include marketing mineral rights, negotiating leasing these rights to third parties, lease revenue processing, division order processing, and ad valorem tax processing for lease transactions. Where leasing mineral rights is not the best course of action, providing recommendations on sale opportunities. Services would include marketing, identifying strategic sale opportunities, providing real estate sale transfer and transaction services if an offer to purchase is accepted by the University.
