1. Interior remodeling of the existing entry lobby. Lobby remodeling consists of the addition of a secure reception area. Reception area to be constructed if structural metal stud framing cladded with drywall and bullet resistant paneling for a Level III resistant enclosure. The new reception area will include new flooring, counter tops, a vertical baffle bullet resistant window system, casework, ceiling, lighting, MEP systems and technology. 2. Exterior door replacement: The exterior door replacement consists of replacing two sallyport doors. The door replacement will require removing the existing doors and adjacent sidelite, prepping the head and jamb, and installing the new hollow metal steel formed security doors and windows. Door replacement will also include technology and power re-connection to new doors. 3. Padded cell remodel: The padded cell remodel consists of creating two padded cells from existing jail cells in the indicated area of the detention center. The cell remodel will consist of demolishing the existing furniture and plumbing fixtures in the existing cell, prepping the floors and walls, adding a flushing floor sink, and applying the padding and protective surfacing. Cell remodel will also include new camera work.
