This request for proposals is for a dam inspection and preliminary design of repairs to the dam’s primary spillway, masonry bridge, and low-level outlet. • Visit the dam and complete a field inspection of the entire structure in accordance with WDNR Owner-Responsible Inspection Program (ORIP) requirements. • Prepare a draft inspection report describing findings, recommendations, and proposed timelines for repairs and submit to the County for input before submitting to the WDNR for official written directives for repairs. • If, as expected, the WDNR requires an updated hydrologic analysis to support major modifications to the dam’s primary spillway, prepare a hydraulic model to serve as the basis for design of a new primary spillway with a new vehicular bridge traveling over it. The intent is to design a new spillway to pass the 100-yr flows with a box culvert bridge and a fixed crest weir to replace the current primary spillway and masonry bridge. • Develop preliminary design drawings (to an approximately 10% level of detail) for proposed repairs and improvements. The drawings should show preliminary plans for replacement of the primary spillway and masonry bridge, abandonment and/or replacement of the existing low-level outlet, as well as repairs for any minor (nonstructural) issues identified during the inspection. • Develop a construction cost estimate to accompany the preliminary design.
