Milwaukee Public Schools (MPS) serves the needs of public education in Milwaukee, Wisconsin with a residential population of more than 630,000.00. MPS is the largest public school in the State of Wisconsin with 158 schools, which includes Pre-K, elementary, middle, and high schools as well as alternative schools. This would also include approximately 15 Central Office staff members. MPS is seeking proposals from companies that can provide MPS with licensing and full implementation services for a software management system that provides full solutions to address the current and future software needs of School Nutrition Services. School Nutrition Services (SNS) relies heavily on technology to maximize operational efficiency and profitability while providing quality meals and service. School Nutrition Services is currently using an older version of Horizon Point of Service and is seeking state-of-the-art software for the operation of the School Nutrition Program for both front of the house and back of the house services. The new software will be utilized to operate and manage the cafeteria operations including meal planning, nutritional analysis, point of sale operations, student management, eligibility, online parent services, site setups and maintenance, purchasing, order processing, inventory and production management, and menu planning. The system must be fully integrated, customizable, user-friendly and cloud based.
