The Department of Corrections, hereinafter referred to as the "DOC", through its Purchasing Services Section, hereinafter referred to as "Purchasing," on behalf of Division Of Community Corrections, hereinafter referred to as "DCC," requests bids for the purchase of Extradition Transport and Security Services. Estimated annual expenditure for this contract is $700,000. Other State agencies may use the resulting contract, if agreeable to both the DOC and the vendor, to obtain the benefits of volume purchases and/or reduction in administrative expenses. The contractor service will be providing transportation for inmates in a secure, safe manner from out of state jurisdictions to Wisconsin prison or jail facilities in a specialized secured vehicle. This will require contractor to have specially trained personnel and be licensed or credentialed by the Department of Transportation, Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration to handle and transport minimum to maximum inmates in a secured vehicle in a safe manner protecting the community from the risk of an escape. The contractor is not required to provide armed transport. No additional specifications were given.
