Specifications include, but are not limited to: Qualified vendors for Drug and Alcohol Testing. The City of Madison is soliciting proposals from qualified contractors to provide controlled substance and alcohol testing and urine drug collection in compliance with the Omnibus Transportation Employee Testing Act of 1991 for employees who perform work in safety sensitive positions or who are required to hold Commercial Drivers Licenses (CDLs). The drug and alcohol testing program must be in compliance with Department of Transportation procedures contained in 49 CFR Part 40 and, for Metro Transit employees, Federal Transit Administration regulations contained in 49 CFR Part 655. Other federal and state laws and regulations may also apply. These are hereinafter referred to as "applicable law." The “applicable law” is the law “as currently in effect and as may be amended from time-to-time.”
