Specifications include, but are not limited to: Cushion mount carbide insert blades must use a vibration reducing, shock absorbing mounting system equivalent to Joma 6000 blades. Blades shall be 1.5 Ga. Flat, bolt-on, cushion mount carbide insert blades with a 3-3-12 standard highway punch. Cushion mounted/shock absorbing carbide insert blades are to be used on Monroe, Viking, and Falls municipal grade 12 feet wide snow plows. The tungsten carbide insert shall meet the following specifications: Length: 1” nominal Density: 14.1 (min) to 14.6 (max) gms/cc Width: 0.31” or greater Hardness: 87.5 (min) to 89.0 (max) Rockwell “A” scale Transverse Rupture Strength: 350,000 to 428,000 PSI Each blade shall contain an approximate 1” length of carbide insert for each 1” length of blade. Waupaca County will purchase full season quantity in one order on or before June 1, 2020, and the minimum quantities to be ordered are shown below.
