Pest plant control services may be requested anywhere within the Preserve. Specific treatment areas will be determined by the Preserve’s Program Manager or designee. Work may occur throughout the year, although some work activities are season dependent. Control methods may include manual (hand-pulling or digging), mechanical (cutting and mowing), or chemical (herbicide application) control of herbaceous (non-woody) and woody plants as specified by the Program Manager or designee. Processing (chipping) plant waste is included as a separate bid lot. Contractor must follow recommendations in the Preserve Invasive Plant Control Handbook (Attachment H). Felling trees larger than 6 inches in diameter is outside the scope of this contract.
